Who are we?
Joy and Eric, the owners of Pride & Joy Canine Services, LLC, have successfully created and operated multiple canine day care/training centers since 1998. Through our experience, research and education, we have developed our unique style of service which results in happy, fulfilled and well-mannered canines.
Joy has over 15 years of experience working in Veterinary hospitals as a Technician, Manager and Canine Trainer. She has been trained by Master Trainers and is an experienced owner-handler. She has shown, and has earned agility titles, in AKC and UKC events. In the horse world, she has trained numerous rescue horses and has won ribbons in the Western Open Trail class. Her certifications and memberships include: Pet Care Technician, Pet CPR and First Aid, Lifestyle Educator, Day Care Director, AQHA, FQHA, UKC, AKC. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Madison.
Eric has a technical background and has spent many years in the field helping to develop the day care model. He has been trained by Master Trainers and is Pet CPR and First Aid certified. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Madison.
We have had the pleasure of sharing our lives with numerous canines, felines and equines over the years. We are dedicated pet owners and currently have a rescue Mustang, Bandit, in his late 20's and recently adopted an Australian Shepherd, Maya. She has already earned her AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Award as well as her Agility 1 and 2 certificates!
None of this would be possible without all the lessons learned from our beloved CJ (CGC, UAGI). She lived everyday to its full potential. We miss her so much and are very honored to have been her guardians for 12 years. She will forever be in our hearts.
